A mobile phone scam has been uncovered here recently where fraudsters were selling soap cakes as mobile phones. Their modus operandi was as follows : One guy sets up a small stall and puts up some high end expensive mobile phones at a very cheap price (usually 10-20% of retail) Though it seems fishly, some fools do fall for it. They pay the guy but the guy insists that somebody might see it (cops?) so he packs it nicely for you. You go some distance and find that it contains a cool soap cake. You go back to the stall only to find nobody. A friend of mine was similiarly duped, he got three stones packed instead of the mini TV he was buying. Such scams are common. Why do you think people go for it? Is it greed?
People are suckers plain and simple, we are always looking to get something for nothing (or very little) and when we do we take the bait and run. Besides we are very trusting as well.
On this note if anyone is interested in purchasing some brand new PSPs you can see me coming soon to the markets near you. PM me for more information or to request my tour map.
