Ok, so you read something on one forum or another was was inspired because you read something to the fact that another affiliate was earning $1000's per month, and of course he left out all the gory details up until that point; He was just inspiring you to move forward without really telling you the truth; he was just giving you to good details, and even from that, it sounded so appealing that you really do not even know if it was just another affiliate story of fiction; Afterall, it would not be the first time I saw people posting fiction on the the net of how good they are, and they are the best selling affiliate on the planet; people do not inflate facts, do they? Now you are motivated, inspired, or whatever floats your boat; The bottom line is you want to be like the other guy, maybe sitting on the beach earning s $1000's per month simply doing nothing, right? This either sounds like fiction, or someone got scammed, but anyway, you are going to do what you want, right? So you copy the guy or whoever, but you have a wild brain storm that no one on this planet has ever thought of...Why set up just one site and I can setup 20-30 sites and then become super-rich; I am so glad you are smart, and Im not...What a great idea, you setup 20-30 sites selling the exact same stuff the rest of the planet is already selling, and you are thinking to yourself, it wont be long now before the cash starts flowing.... six months later, you are sitting on your $50 sofa scratching your balls and eating potatoe chips while watching ghost busters (You are awesome; I did not know you could multi-task) but anyway, you are wondering why you have not started earning $1000's per month by now...then you start thinking, I will ask the experts on DP; They are smart, they will know why, then a lot of DP experts will just say how stupid you are, but you know that you are not, and you continue to do the same old stuff even though the experts have advised not to.... a year goes by.... You have not made more then $5.... 0: Most important, have a plan, have a solid budget.... 1: Dont copy, and setup the same thing everyone else has. 2: Do not use duplicate content because you dont have a budget. 3: If you can not link build right, then best not do it at all... After all this, you have spent loads of time, money, effort, and resources getting no where. A part time job in business probably would have been your best move before you started anything.... And on a side note: Those affiliates that maybe earning $1,000's per month; Most likely they did not start just last year; They have been around for many years, and some may have been around since the start... and they can get away with having such a shady looking affiliate site, why? because they have been around for so long; like craigslist, his site looks like it belongs in the 90's - hot its not, but it has been around for so long that it simply does not matter what the looks like anymore....
Its simple. If you can not be better then the person that is already making $2k/mo... Then there is no reasoning for you to be in affiliate marketing.... You are just not going to make it.... Its a tough market, and it is not getting any better, only worse... Everyone, and their granny is selling the same stuff.... Is the point pretty clear now? Sorry, I am not going to bring you the flower basket, pat you on the back, and tell you what you want to hear, or whatever you want me to say that will make you feel better.... I would just rather tell you the truth, then give you some bullshit line something like..."its going to be ok...."
Everyone can do it, it's just depend on how much deep they wanna go and how much efforts to put. Hard work is required for everything to success. Anything x Time = Result.
Although affiliate marketing seems easy, that's not the truth! For gaining success in affiliate promotions, it is important to be an expert rather than being a salesman and things will work for you.
Getting to affiliate requires nice start capital or investment these days. You need good hosting, you need good content, you need to buy links, you need to pay a developer to tune something up. Being just a smart guy who has watched a youtube video about installing wordpress and adding Google Analytics to it doesn't make you a candidate for life at Karnataka beaches with a laptop and tall blonds
First, I must say I really enjoyed this poster's musings. It made me chuckle a little bit! We all have to have a sense of humor sometimes when it comes to affiliate marketing. Otherwise, who knows what would happen to us if we get discouraged. Now...I will copy and paste the points as shown above...(quoting the original author):
It's not exactly helpful though for beginners: 0: Most important, have a plan, have a solid budget.... Great, but what do you include in the plan, how do you make the plan, what is a solid budget, how much will need to be spent? Then the rest is just saying what not to do. If someone is starting out in affiliate marketing then what would really be useful is to tell them some of the things that they should be doing. It is good advice, but it's stuff that is thrown about all the time and really should be common sense.
What I'm saying. If you want more, do more! Be better than guy making 1000 a month to make more than a 1000 per month.
You should have realistic goals...of course $20k sounds better, but it sounds like you are just dreaming about $20k...If you can not earn $100, then you can not make it to $500, or even $1000. You are right; 20k isnt impossible.... But I would imagine those earning that much started this game years ago, and I do not think I would want to be that high on anyones radar as I have heard quite a few stories about top affiliates getting their accounts cut for almost no reason, then you end up being worthless with all the time, effort, money that you had already put in...
First of all it is important for you to identify websites that offer with liberal affiliate payouts. Do not consider the companies that need you to complete certain target before they release the payout. You can opt for any of the web hosting affiliate programs, find out the best one that you can promote.
All what you mentioned is true but still you can make it. With work simply work work but not only work you have to make it unique so it stands out. That's called smart copying which will work if you work make it unique, different and "spices" it up.
