I may do a blog post on how to send out a news release one day. But the baisc format is pretty simple. --------------------------------------------------------------- Dear News Editor, [insert your site name here] has posted a new article. A news post on your website would be most appreciated. If you have news please send them to and we’ll be happy to post it (assuming your site does news as well). Title: [The title of the article/review] Quote: [place a quote from your article here. This is what the news site will reproduce on their site as the news plug] Direct link: [URL to article goes here] image link: [URL to image. I use this for reviews so the news site can post a picture of the item] Thank you. [Your name] [Your title] [Your site] [Site URL]
What would you reccomend I do with techneek.co.uk? Its sort of starting up, sort of established (ie its been about for ages, i ignored it for a few months, and now relaunched it)
hello , very useful information ... I would like to know about the quote below which is on how you got more traffic .. how i can get the plug and also i would like to know more on the "news coverage". thx .
Thank you for the comments. deadmoon - Add more content and get more traffic. If you haven't done so add to your news list. FireStorM - You get the news plug but having unique content. No news site is going to post about something that isn't unique because it's not news.
Moto...you should place all this wonderful information on the buy, sell, thread under content. Drive those people who promote sending articles to article sites to increase pr, links and traffic, absolutely crazy! My partner and I are working right now on one site, creating a press release for it, and will once we each come to a meeting of minds on the press release, turn it loose on the world. One question: Do you know of any press release submission sites that are worth a damn? I have seen many sites that will submit a press release, but want only the best. And since you know more than anyone else I have run into about this process, I turn to your recommendation.
The site my partner and I have is a paid membership site for information products--ebooks/software/scripts etc. You can see it here and give some ideas as to the press release company to use. http://www.monthlyinfoproducts.com Other sites I am working on are general information/resource/tool sites on subject like: adsense blogging senior citizens (my favorite as I am one! lol)
Just noticed you have a link to The Tech Zone in your sig - do you own it? BTW, already had your email address in my list. How'd you get your site so ****ing huge lol!!! (ok i know you kinda answered it here but meh)
I want to be a google whore. But it's cold out and my legs get cold in a skirt. Will this offer still be open in the summer?
Deadmoon - yes I own Tech Zone and the TTZ Media Network. As for how I got the site so huge, I've told you some, but not all the secrets. A master have to keep a few to himself if he wishes to remain master. noppid - As far as I know, Google whoring has no season. iowadawg - I don't know which news service would accept your relase. Most news sites won't post releases from commercial sites. This is because they rather you buy advertising.
Great article I've already started to make a template for an email I'm going to send around Thank you!
hi moto great piece of info you got there! but what if i dont know a damn thing about my site theme. would you recommend buying content from writers out there? if so, where can i get some decent writers and how much is it a custom to charge for that ? (i'm guessing it's by the amount of words) thanks
Well if you don't know the theme for your site, finding writers (free or paid) is going to tough. I've gotten many writers from my forums. Others I've met at trade shows. And the rest were readers. Also if you're going to buy content, make sure you get to own it and the copyright passes to you.
