I'm interesting in hearing who is in the weight loss niche. I'm curious on your methods of getting sales. Are you building a list? Or are you just sticking to article marketing? or other tactics?

I know that HarryLee just launched his product.. I'll inform him of this thread

I myself was promoting a lot of different weight loss products and BFFM converted the best for me.

I created a review page (lol it's still online at http://users.volja.net/buyprocess/ I've removed the domain that was pointing to it) and I advertised it in google adwords. It turned out quite well because I found a few great keywords and I managed to have high CTR for them.

When I was doing a lot of affiliate marketing the review type sites converted the best for me.

    Good luck

I haven't actually promoted much in weight loss. Mainly just the fatloss4idiots and I found the conversation rates pitiful. I guess it could be the fact that it was around for a while, but it just doesn't want to convert.

I've found out that if a product doesn't convert after 500 hops or so I'll just move on and start promoting something else.

How many hops have you created for fatloss4idiots?

To be honest, too much. I haven't actively promoted in for probably 2 or 3 months. I think I got a total of 4 sales for it. Hops, probably a lot.

I wouldn't say that weight loss is different from other niches.

The same thing, but in different words.

I recently decided to give Fat Loss 4 Idiots a go and submitted few articles to Ezine. Let's see how it goes.

The 4 sales I got for FL4I, would of came over 6 months (wow, it's been almost 6 months since I started).

I think 2 of them came in 2 days in June. Not sure how it happened, but something hit some sweet SE traffic.
