    I dont' know if this is the right section to post about this. But I thought so. If anyone want to move this post, don't ask me. ;) Just let me know where you moved it.

    What I wanted to ask, is that so many people read shoemoney and/or Johnchow, when was the last time you actually read something on their blog which actually helped you make an extra buck online?

    I don't remember. No I'm not joking or anything. I've havn't really read anything on their blog somethinig useful which has actually helped me make an extra buck onling in AM or in blogging.

    People visit their blog to read something which would actually help them
    make some extra cash or cheque as you prefer(include me) ;), but for so long time I've not read anything useful.

    As for my personal opinion, DP is far more useful than any of these blogs. Most people think that if they read someone who makes money online, they would make money like them as well. But as far as my experience, it is all about learning, asking, testing and experimenting.

    So, am I the only one who thinks like that? Or I'm not the only one.

    I would really like some honest opinions. :cool:

    I agree in that nothing can replace testing for yourself and gaining experience. The key I believe is to learn the principles of how to make money because we all know that the specific strategies to make money are changing all the time.

    Sometimes you just have to go out there, make a lot of mistakes, learn from them QUICKLY, and the law of averages says that you are bound to hit success as long as you do not quit.

    @aapkasuroor

    I'm thinking differently and yes I'm creative. But I'm not a blind follower and have my own mind to think when I'm wasting time and when I'm learning something which is helping me.
    And that includes life too, not just making money. :)

    Peace.

    i read Shoemoney, JohnChow, John Reese, Mubin, Problogger, and a few more.. I'd say that at least once a week or so i get a useful idea from one or more (probably mostly from Problogger) - but it's not like everything they post is a golden money-maker. Shoemoney in particular has stated several times that his blog is just for him to post his own personal thoughts - i dont think he claims you'll get rich by reading it..
    On MY blog, however, I try to concentrate on sharing HOW i made my site sucessful and HOW i earned $xx,xxx last month, etc.. I throw in something funny once in a while if i have nothing else to write about, but at least i try and keep it on-topic - which is sharing "how i did it" ...

    I do read your blog once in a while, and it is quite useful I might say. I just wanted to ask so many ppl reading those everyday.

    Actually I'm tired of people coming to MSN, GTalk and asking do you read those guys, they are making 1000s of dollars per month.

    And Johnchow donates his blog's income to charity which is nothing compared to what he makes from TechZone. So if he really wanted to help helpless ppl out there, don't you think he could donate money which he uses to buy cars every other month...

    And believe me that would help a lot of people than how much he's helping right now...

    And yes, I'm not donating any.

    but then again it is my personal opinion. I've never seen any proof that he actually donates money even if it is little as compared and being a nerd, compassionate person I'm ready to ask this question.

    It is my personal opinion and I don't mean to hurt anyone. I'm just questioning authority as I believe it is my right.

    That's right, reading success stories will not bring success.Probably Shoemoney and John Chow has many secret strategies and we can't want them to share their great ideas. They are both web stars and they know how to market themselves. Let me memorize what i think of them;

    Shoemoney.com
    I've learnt to many things from the arbitrage king's blog. If you read his previous posts, you'll see that he worked a lot for every post and fame camed with this quality content. People say, he wouldn't be such famous without that check photo but i don't think so. Shoemoney is an unusual web star but when you search for this success, you see a hardworking guy. He really works hard. The most important things that i've learnt from him is,
    1-) You can still work a lot when you are tired a lot.
    2-) Web and daily trade has many artbitrage oppurtunities. And these oppurtunities can bring a lot of money.
    3-) He is not haughty. And he knows that; "arrogance" is just like a rope made with rocks, you can't swim or fly with it. This made Shoemoney more lovable. He sell one of his company for millions, next day he wears a t-shirt of a web site. He is very natural and sincere.
    4-) Personal Marketing is one of the part of Marketing. ( A big part)

    John Chow
    John Chow is also a successful guy but unluckily, his index has banned ffom google search because of text link ads. It seems like a message from Google and the victim is him. These days, we have to support him. If we help, God will send us help when we need. One day you get up and look at your stats, when you check referrals, you see nothing from Google. He didn't gain this success easily. But i hope and know John will overcome with this. I have learnt many things from his web site. I'm not a blogger but if you follow his web blog, you'll see a fresh,enjoyable and useful content. John Chow is a very helpful person but a big aggressive.

    University of Digital Point
    There are many webmaster forums. Most of them has good content but DP is different. Content is easy come-at-able. Dp is full of successful webmasters Worlwide. And DP is not a one man powered content. Dp is not a web blog too. I can't compare blogs and forums. vickyiori i don't agree with you (%50)

    Yes, Dp forums are More Useful and Helpful
    No, I and many people learnt many things from them.

    Besides shoemoney and Problogger, i dont think there is anything else left in there. I left john when google ashamed of him to list on their search engine. You wanna follow someone who can't rank for his own name? :D

    They're there to make money for themselves, not you. But if you can glean off some bit of knowledge from them, great.

    For me, the problem isn't getting good ideas; it's finding the time to take care of all the 1,000 things I've got on the back burner. My Bookmarks are longer than my arm, listing all the sites I want to go back and read or do something with.
