So what next for Bill and co?

    After Yahoo's rebuttal, and Sony's triumph in the DVD format battle. What next for Bill and co? Sony and Apple seem to be leading in the home entertainment stakes with PS3 and Apple TV. Microsoft's dominance of the PC and home desktop market seems threatened with new players on the block, plus the likely shift towards the web and online services, led by Google and the like, and Linux and Open Source.

    Apart from Halo 3, what else does Microsoft have up their sleeve?

    Answer on a postcard.

    hmm halo 3 was a terrible .. lol

    but really.. they still have Gears of War 2.. which will be a hit and Call of Duty 5.. G Hero 4 hmm long list..

    As for desktop application and operating sytems...no one is a threat to MS.

    Halo 4 to appear on Playstaton 3 and OS X in 2012 but with no Windows or 360 version Microsoft has been forced to stop production of it's Xbox 360 consoles and Windows operating systems thus creating world peace where every home has a PS3 and Apple iMac
