I have been hearing a lot of bad things about duplicate content, but I am wondering just how bad it is. I have two sites. One is a blog that has a lot of duplicate content and very little backlinks, and over 700 indexed pages, it keeps going up in rank. The other site is only a few months newer, has a lot more backlinks and about 320 pages of original content, yet it is not ranking anywhere as high as the other one.... Any thoughts?
many people say that panda really affected copy content sites. if it hasnt affected you yet, dont worry it soon will. use something like copyscape to see if that app can tell if two different sources are the same, i think it will. as to why some sites rank and other don't, the competition for the keywords you are searching under and the links to each site make the difference. How long is a piece of string. I cant be bothered copying info by whole slabs to my site, so I will always be protected for the future. This might be slower, but its not cheating my visitors either.
google will penal the duplicate content sites, but I still think google still permit the usage of duplicate things if that was not too much; so I think google should give a relative number or data of that~
Depends on niches as well. Duplicate content not as duplicated is not as bad and sometime you can still rank.
If your blog is having duplicate content, soon it'll be penalized or even banned by google.. Might be you are sharing duplicate content with the original content reference....
Try to put unique content in blog or it will affect your ranking very soon..... and your blog can also be banned once google finds out.
This can be possible with your lowest comptition content. Its seems to be it will take some time to effect on your search engine ranking. But its really good enjoy ranking with duplicate content
