Only an idiot like you would think that way. You obviously have no clue about how businesses are taken care of, especially when the biggest file host Megaupload just got shut down. Please be less moronic and educate yourself before speaking. Makes you look stupid.
well I dont think they just run away... the thing is that anything (any explanation) they would try to say (or pay) could be used against them.
Curiously they have even removed their own 'news' link/page so I guess they're not interested in telling anyone anything (at least right now). It's going to be an interesting week Does anyone know if there's anything going on at oron ?
So far, I haven't heard anything yet on oron. Their non-premium download is slow so I won't personally use them. I'm kinda disappointed that Hish didn't made any official statement on this matter wherein he responded almost instantly on comments made on the other thread (which is now locked). EDIT: http://www.prefixmag.com/news/filesonic-disables-file-sharing/60803/
I don't know, but I believe DMCA/SOPA/PIPA made the major and very confident move against illegal filesharing. no matter where the filehost is located (Hong Kong, Russia, Holland, UK..etc) - shutting it down (or enforcing it to tighten the copyright policy) is just a matter of time and negotiation between government officials.
The chilling effects of the MegaUpload seizures are interesting as file hosts try to work out ways to make sure that they can't fall under the long arm of US legal jurisdiction. Uploaded.to blocking access to US users looks to be one solution, and I would imagine that most will now move away from .com/.net domains and make sure their servers are not located in the US either. What will be interesting is how the chilling effects will affect those in the file hosting/sharing business that offer tools and services that are not currently used for large scale copyright infringement? Will pirates move to Dropbox or Box.net, or will those services implement tools to make sure they don't and in the same stroke make their services worse for paying and legal customers? Interesting times. I'm trying to keep on top of the chilling effects side of things over on TechFruit too (as well as the current file host alternatives) if anyone is interested in the legal fallout.
will be others solutions guys! don`t panik Click on my signature and you will see a wonderfull site, much better than filesonic rebills....etc..
