So what do you think? Will Google Bard effect SEO?

Hi all,

I'm curious to hear what you all think about the upcoming Google Bard? Or what about the already in beta Microsoft Bing AI (Sydney)? Will these new "tools" in SERP effect how we do SEO in the future?

I somewhat believe so, since it's very much more related to AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). Google and Bing will receive more and longer queries within the same "search session", during a chat conversation. (From my experience with ChatGPT) So maybe it's all about who can provide the best and most answers to the questions asked in the conversation AI chats, will get the most mentioned and linked in chat?

If we can get this AI to work, then probably yes.

 

I must say i find ChatGPT quite good so far, so I guess Google has to make it work? Or they might lose serious market share...

 

hard to say , even happens in general time to time , with time we will understand.

 

Just another way for Google to steal my content without compensating me for it.

Well, so far I've not found ChatGPT too reliable. It needs lots of work. I've given it questions in my personal area of expertise, and its answers have often been quite inaccurate.
