This will be what it takes for people to finally wake up. It doesn't surprise me, same ol' hard-headed American culture getting the job done as always. There were plenty of warnings for people to snap out of it and become responsible for themselves and realize that it is not America's job to police the world and give free money$$ to every soul that inhabits the land. But now, in an extraordinary series of events, America will have to learn the hard way. We're now in a situation that I'm not sure there is even a right way out of! We've waited so long to finally realize that the foundation we've built this country on wasn't the smartest or most stable.. you just built a house of cards on a mudslide and tried to add a few pounds. Sorry, but the thing's gotta come down sometime! The real question is, to you thick-headed Americans on this forum, will you learn from this final lesson? Will you finally understand after the economy crumbles to nothing that we can't take a map of the world any longer, point your finger at a country you don't even know the name of, and come to the conclusion that this in fact is a country that needs nuked? Will we learn the calamities of living beyond our means and not realizing the consequences? Will we learn the importance of constructive criticism and questioning authority? Will we learn what it means to be free as opposed to enslaved? Ask yourself these questions the next few months as you hang your head in shame, and don't worry, you'll have plenttty of time. So long American Empire, you had your chance so many times and you laughed it away each time, but unfortunately - you were wrong, and now those who "hate America" will get the last laugh. Some irony isn't it, considering how hard you tried to make us the best but didn't even see this coming.
You don't seem like the type to give up so easily. Surely you're just worn out and upset like most of us.
