Hi to all My first message on this forum. I'm here to ask you about a very strange think. I've a campaign with both targeted content and search on AdWords. I was bidding 0.2€ for the content net and 0.05 for the search net. I was receiving a 98% of the clicks from the target net, and just a 1 or 2 click/day from the search. I've decided to stop completely the search net ( dont publish my ads on google search ). The same day, my conversion starting to go down and down! Isn't it strange? i was receiving 1 or 2 clicks per day fron search net, and my conversions goes lower more than 50%! I was doin 20 conv/day, then i had a 10 conv/day... The conversions are Leads, subscriptions in a website where i send users that lands in my landing page. Some days later, very worried, i tought what i innocently did and restored the search net advertising with the same 0.05€ bidding. Things returned good.... How is it possible? i'm new with adsense and i really cant understand. My conversion rate is really really good, and it's impossible, i think, that 1 or 2 users that was coming from the search net can make 5 subscriptions each....! If it is, then i'm millionaire because i'm pratically not using the search net... but i think it's not that reason
Perhaps it was Glenda the Good Witch that was converting your sales for you and she has moved on to greener pastures.
asharma1991 what kind of combination should i try? My affiliation program, today, hasjust accepted another site for these affiliations, so i can make split tests having separate statistics... so i'll use a parallel approach... let's suggest
It's not surprising at all - content network traffic is generally really poor for converting into leads - it's ok for a brand campaign but other than that it's next to useless really. If you want leads you're gonna have to have search traffic, and it's more expensive because people know it converts more so use it a lot more...
yeah but it'sstrange that i have 1 or 2 clicks and my lead rate is boosted... i can also observ that if i have 0 clicks from the searchnet the leads are pretty good.... may be a case, it may be another kind of problem.. but it's so strange
Have you been tracking conversions to see whether they were coming from search or content? Turn them both on and start tracking. Then you will know for sure. If that doesn't help, then ask Glenda.
Enable conversion tracking (tools > conversion tracking) and you can stop guessing, you will find out for sure where the conversions are coming from.
