So now Adsense wants to show non-targeted ads!?

For months and months, Google's ads have been nicely targeted and I was doing pretty good. For the past few days, instead of displaying movie-related ads on http://www.upcoming-movies.org/, Google has decided to go with car-related/health/prescription targeting. It's really taking a hit on me...

Let me give you an idea- I have had about 350 UV's for the day so far and only 2 clicks. Pathetic.

On a complete side note... I am also looking for suggestions on how to improve my Adsense placement/color scheme on the site to improve performance. I could use some suggestions.

    Thanks

Target your keywords. Once google Bot visits your site it will target your ads. Don't worry.

At the time you wrote this, they probabaly had an overflow of new ads thrown into the system, that tends to make itself apparent from time to time, I just checked it now and it seems fine, like raman said dont worry

Well I just checked it a second ago and I'm pretty much just getting prescription advertising -Xanax, Tramadol, Fastin, Phentremine... etc. This is really hurting my Adsense revenue...

    Eh..

The subjects of the ads being displayed on a page are determined by keywords used on said page. So if AdSense displays movie-related ads then you most likely have keywords that are relevant to movies. Try adding a few keywords of the subject you want and you'll see changes soon enough.

The display of irrelevant ads might be due to the google's latest "targeted and interest based advertising" but how targeted are they?

You might have been hit with the new Google ads targeting system but what you can probably do is to put more of the main keywords for more targeted ads showing. But how will Google put on your site for the personalized ad targeting really depend son Google.

    Thanks
