so much money making productivity

I have been visiting these forums for about a year now to browse around and look for some freelance work. In reading posts, I visit websites, and just see what’s on peoples’ minds. I thought I’d just throw out some ideas of mine that came about from the community.

A lot of members here have created websites that are centerered around giving others advice on how to generate income from the internet. I find it very funny when the people with these websites post threads asking how to make $x in x unit of time (seriously.. how many of these do we need?!). You may also see them frequent those inevitable “post your earnings” threads with maybe double digit income.

On the other end of the spectrum are the professional bloggers who earn six or seven figure incomes soley from doing business on the internet. I’ve seen more than a few pictures of cheques from google and the like being posted on these instructionale blogs surrounded by ads, which generates more income for the recipient of said cheque.

I think these blogs (the ones that actually make a good amount of money) are created so that those who first exploit some kind of new technology can throw out their dated scehemes in one last attempt to squeeze some money out by plastering banner ads around it. But the idea isn’t worth much for a long time due to the astounding amount of plagerism within this niche.

There’s also the similar “time management, productivity, and/or hacks” website. I seriously doubt any of the authors actually use these systems, and if they do, they use them for nothing else but creating systems to save time and energy with. More importantly, I think reading them is just a poor substitute for actual work. It must be something hard-wired in our monkey brains that cause people to feel a sense of achievement after they read an article about how to plan their day without actually doing anything. Planning is one thing, but planning to plan? No thanks.

When I first encountered these types of topics, I thought they would die off very soon. But there are so many more now than ever. What's going on? Somone tell me I'm not crazy.
