so many directories

i've had different lists of directories from different people. if i submit to list A, and then a few days later i see a new list B, should i submit to that new list (considering that some of the sites in list B are also in list A)?

 

Yes, you should submit to B. It will not harm and will help.

 

You'll need to refine your list B if it contains directories from list A. There's no point submitting to directories you are listed in. Wastes times of both - you who are submitting and the directory reviewer who is reviewing your submissions

 

you must submit to the list which you get first, in case you get another list just sort out the directories you have not submitted to. in this way after combining the two list a and b you can acheive better result. make sure not to submit more than ones in one directory and cover maximum directories you can providing one way links.

 

originally i use list A, but then new lists from discreet, dakait, etc keeps popping up and i was wondering if i should submit to all of those too.

filtering the duplicates will take a shitload of time though.

 

i figured that was inevitable...

so anyone got bigger list of directories besides amits, dakait's and discreet's (and practiaclly all the directory lists threads on DP)?

 

devin09, depending on which format you have the lists in, I probably can filter it for you at no cost to you

Please mail me a copy of list of article directories.

 

Why not make a file in excel or something similar, then you can sort them in alphabetical order and easily see and remove any duplicates... shouldn't take too long. Add any new ones you find to the list, then soon everyone will be asking for your list, lol.

 

unfortunately, there aren't many directories who can tell that the link already exist in the directory hence wasting time of the directory owner for repeatitive submissions.

 

doing exactly that. so far i'm at number 550. hired my sister to do it.

 

poseidon all phplinkdirectory directories will tell you if a site already exists.

I used to use a different script and it uses to take hours every week removing duplicate submissions, now the script does it automatically.

 

I have a spreadsheet that I created. All directories are listed in alphabetical order to keep track of my directory submissions. I can't see how you could do it any other way without doing lots of duplicate submissions which to me would be a waste of time.

devin09, Janet or any one else with a big list, can one of you maybe post your list? I have started making a list from a bunch of sources but it is getting messy and don’t want to waist time on it if there is already a compiled one.

 

i think it will not harm you... it is ok.

 

I think Devin won't be posting the list here , as he says he has incurred some expenses in retrieving the list.
