Chinese government have been blocking many big sites like: youtube ABC news Yahoo chat Alta Vista SE Countless Universities and News sites If they are genuine, why do they have to fear? What happen if the whole world block China? To be honest with you guys, I stop using Chinese products for years. If I there is an alternative, even if the cost is more. I always go for other product. I live in Australia, I always support Australian Product even when I am traveling oversea. I do not support such government!
the sites that get blocked seem to be because of the information they give to Chinese. I dont think it would hold many Chinese people back though, proxies get around it pretty easy
China sux ... its all monopoly over thr !! Do you know in china they close there foreign exchange for the day if the price of there currency goes down ?
I was in Shanghai in January of this year and my website was blocked. Youtube was also blocked but I did get on the US yahoo.
Well China block sites that are deemed too critical about their rule, but I believe they will unblock those sites in the near future.
i worked on a project for CCCC (China Telecom) 6 months ago and most time they would not ever get our emails.. and they are china telecom!!
I think the Chinese people got nothing to do with this. It's just their government. Hong Kong people are Chinese, most of Singaporean are Chinese, Taiwanese are also Chinese. But they are all OK! It's just the communist government, I don't know why such government existed?
Hey, I just found out that China even block WIKIPEDIA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blocking_of_Wikipedia_in_mainland_China), they unblocked it just before the Olympic. This is ridiculous, their people have no voice. They only hear what they are allowed them to hear. What kind of government is this? I am wondering why are allowed to join the WTO?
I remember this was one of the conditions of the Olympics, that the firewall had to be stopped. However just like always it never happens and they get away with it. It is absolutely horrific how they treat their people, especially groups like Christians. However it is no surprise when you look at other communist ruled nations of the past.
