I thought that lower PR links than your site do not hurt you, but they also do not help very much. Why would you remove the lower PR links?

Getting backlinks from sites that are PR0 does not help you.

Getting backlinks from sites that the back link page is not indexed does not help you.

Bad link partners will only get you a perminant PR0.

Verify each of you links has page rank assigned to it and that the page has been indexed by Google. If they can not be indexed by Google, then you are waisting you time.

And, it take about 4 months for Google to register a link to your site in the Webmaster Tools section, but the Google toolbar backlink command is always behind or just wrong.

If you can not find good links with page rank (PR) then you are waisting your time.

Start using Google's Webmaster Tools. It will tell you everything Google is thinking about you site. It takes the guess work out of linking and other SEO concerns.

    Hi,

Did you check your SERP. It is more important in the sense of traffic acquiring.

And about the PR - it will come on it's place - do not worry.

Try SEOpen. You can check not only backlinks but PR, Cache, Page index as well. Not only Google but Yahoo and MSN too with link analyzer.

By removing lower PR links, you are increasing the average PR of your links. Therefore, search engine spider will actually translate tha fact that you have only superior and better quality PR link and G will increase your PR as well.

My testing, months ago, was on a domain with ONE PR7 link. It goes to PR5. Once I included 10 PR0 links, I had 10 PR0 and 1 PR7, it went down to PR2. I removed the PR7 and it goes down to PR0. I removed the 10 PR0 and dded again the PR7 and went up to PR5 again...

So, it's not the quantity, it's the quality...;)

but how to get high PR link? <- this is the real question. It's hard if you don't buy links. You make it sounds simple about adding and removing PR 7 link. Can tell me how?

What if you have backlinks on a site for a month but the PR update comes in 2 months? Does it not count at all?

    Hi,

I do agree, but you have to have in mind that Google does not only sees the PR of the back link, but also it analysis the page content.

So, I do not believe that in every case of PR7, your PR will jump very high. Still, PR7 is a very good ranking overall and has to have some good content for accomplishing that.

To get higher PR, you must have your site linked on a higher ranking page. Period. If your site is PR2 and has 2000 PR0 links, it makes no difference.
You'll get a higher PR with only one PR6 for example...
And yes, it's not easy to link on a PR7 for free...
