So long adsense...

I've been slowly weening myself off of using Adsense on my site.

Tonight I officially made the switch, using only CJ affiliate links on my site.

The averaged $20 / day where I last replaced Adsense, and am now presenting a similar 250x250 table I made myself with affiliate product links. I SID'd the 250x250 table to see how it performs.

I'll let you all know how it goes :)

I've been doing the same over the last year, slowly integrating more cj links into my sites to replace adsense, of which used to pay 100% of my income, now Im only about 60% adsense. I do find the two revenue streams comparable.

Why don't you just rotate the ads between adsense and CJ. You will then get the best of both worlds.

If you find greater success with CJ, make it 60% CJ and 40% Adsense.

Congratulations. I've been doing the same, and my affiliate income is steadily rising. I want to get to the point that if Goog ever gives me any more crap about what I can do with my own site I can tell them to pound sand without caring about the minimal lost income from their Adsucks program.

I split my sites between CJ, Adsense, and a bunch of various others (Chitika, Azoogle etc) - just to put eggs in different baskets.

I have highs and low with CJ, but it still comes out on top each week.

CJ does not pay per click or does it??? I though that CJ only pay per action. How can this be better than adsense?

I signed up with CJ this weekend for my writing blog but haven't had any response to the offers I applied for yet. I guess I don't have enough traffic for them.

But do I need to keep checking my page there, or do they email you if an offer is accepted?

I think it is best not to use just one revenue source. Everything I've read points to the fact that you should give your users several ways of providing you with revenue on a site. I always use several monetization strategies for each site that I build.

Cj isn't a PPC program. They're an affiliate publishing program, meaning you get paid on commission.

That's true in a lot of cases, but it's really all relative to what your site provides the visitors.

I still have adsense on the forums and videos page, so technically I'm still using adsense.

Because I'd be giving the users another "out". If the page targets visitors that want to buy a certain product, I wouldn't want them to have the option to buy a product that's $500 and get paid 10 cents for the referral. I'd rather get $25 on 5% commission.

    $40 so far today.

Denise - It's the weekend, so programs that require manual approval will start the approval process when the business week starts. It could take a week or more for the program managers to get back to you. Some programs don't require manual approval at all, though. In terms of traffic, managers of individual programs have no way of knowing what kind of traffic your site has, so that won't be part of the process.
