So it looks like I have been 'smartpriced'...

Hey guys, love the forum - ill be spending a lot more time here by the looks of it:) anyways, onto my rabbiting..

I've recently opened up a new website ( and my first :D ) and i was making approx. 3 dollars a day untill things kicked off, where I reached the $20 a day mark getting approx 90-100 clicks daily

I now manage to pull 160+ clicks a day, making only $5 if i'm lucky - is this the dreaded smartpricing ive been reading about?

when this happened it was a huge blow to me as i was then targeting the $50 a day mark... oh well...

my question is, would the smartpricing be on my website, or the ads I serve (that is, if it IS smartpricing)
I was thinking of blocking my usual ads and using different ones which I may not have been smartpriced on ?

    Thanks for any advice :)

also, i know this is off topic, but could anyone reccomend a pop up network that I could use? i have been using paypopup but it seems to directly link my visitors to a new page ( i think this is called theft) and they do have a lot of spyware. thanks :)

    Maybe, maybe not.

The ads served by Google are affected not only by your content but by the search terms used by visitors reaching your site. It's possible that your site is ranking higher now for some search terms that result in lower-paying ads --- and you're getting a majority of your traffic from that source.

I have only two search terms relevant two my site and I am dominating in them ( well, sort of #3 ) and they bring my traffic, and always have done - so the search terms are pretty much the same, course theres a few more but they are only a small handful of visitors
