    Why did my pagerank drop from 4 to 2 when my site is doing a hell of a lot better...

    One of the funnier thread titles regarding current issues.

    It is happening all over, regarding all sorts of sites, you can tell me to get lost but the best advice i can suggest is not to worry about PR.

    My site dropped from a 4 to a 2. But who cares.

    Maybe now websites will be judged on content, traffic & revenue and you dont need pagerank to achieve that!

    But did your traffic decrease too? As long as I read in this forum, the majority says their traffic remained approx. the same.

    I had a pr drop, and was selling links. At first I was upset, but then two more people from text-link-ads bought space so there you go. My SE traffic stayed the same, and in fact I now get more from MSN for no apparent reason.

    I had 3 websites go down in PR and 2 that went up.

    The 2 that went up did not have any purchased/traded linking.

    I have noticed a hugh decrease of traffic with the sites that lost their PR.

    two of my sites drop from PR5 to PR3 and they are doing better than 6 months ago. A lot of unique content and I never sell links.

    The funny thing is that another my site remains with PR3 for 9 months even I don't have any traffic or content on it.

    This was the strangest PR ever
