So is it a crime to use a table based layout theme for Wordpress ?

    I have a client that wants the ability edit their site online. I figured WP as a CMS is the perfect option. I have used WP as a CMS many times.

    However the layout would be a royal pain to do in pure CSS. Is it a crime to make the theme table based ?

    I don´t know the site, I rely on you saying it would be a royal pain to do it in CSS. Think about the pain you´ll have, when your clients comes up with some changes in layout and you´ll have to change the whole table construction.

    Also think about SEO. CSS is way better than tables when we are talking about seo ;)

    Tables exist in HTML for one reason: to display tabular data.
