I'm looking for something offshore. I need to be able to accept multiple currencies. Can I just use my bank if they offer e-commerce solutions? (I haven't checked yet to be honest. My current bank is in Panama but could change to a new bank if it manages to meet my needs.) I thought a good solution for my US customers would be e-gold since PayPal and the Fed are so serious about only allowing the US citizens to gamble on their privately held lottery network. I'm starting a web based lottery style game and need to find a way to allow the US people to play. Any suggestions? wp
I would suggest looking at paypal...to my knowledge they have a currency converter in their software. Also, they are acting more like a bank everyday, offering credit cards and interest on your account. I know you are worried about paypal and the lottery stuff, but if you really want security, go for paypal.
The fed has clamped down on internet gambling. Pay pal, Visa, Mastercard, none of them can process a gambling transaction. And even though my lottery is more of a 'contest' or 'draw' it still counts as gambling because there is no free ride. You must pay to play. E-gold was a good solution because you could purchase e-gold with a paypal account and then use e-gold online to buy whatever you want without the fed having the papertrail on you. I'll have to keep looking. Casino payments and offshore gambling has this problem, just par for the course. Thanks for the advice. Pay Pal would be nice and simple but it's just not an option. wp
