So I went to see Passengers

I should've read the review on rotten tomatoes before going. I love sci-fi, so there were elements in the movie that I really enjoyed. But overall I was disappointed. Through the entire movie I kept thinking how cheesy the whole thing was. 3.5 out 5.

I've pretty much given up on movies. There is just so much crap produced now simply to appeal to a mass audience. What is the last good movie you have watched?

That's a good question. I almost wanted to say none, but then I remembered that I saw Arrival just a month or so ago and it wasn't bad.

I take it you're a big sci-fi fan. Have you watched Ex Machina?

No, I have not. I am more into space travel sci-fi movies. Don't like Star Wars, but watch Start Trek (even the old ones) whenever I can. Star Trek Voyager and Deep Space Nine are at the top. What's your fav genre?

No particular genre really. I just like good stories where you really care about the characters. I also really like "authentic" movies where it feels like you are actually in the movie. Yeah it's good to watch dumb action movies for some cheap thrills sometimes, but I much prefer watching movies that make you think and feel something.
