so yea, i got alot more clicks, yet....less money
i should stick with the text ads

lets see, 98 clicks = 8.54 cents
yesterday 92 clicks = 12.00 cents
the day before that, 72 clicks = 18.12 cents

weird stuff, it might be cuz its in a forum

 

I think you are too impatient.
Have them for a while longer, so you've had at least a thousand pageviews on the new format. Only then do the stats get reasonably accurate.

I think OP confused dollars with cents

 

In my experience image ads when optimized get much, much higher ctr and because of the high ctr as well as running them on the content network you pay much, much lower cpc. You have to be very careful about how you design image ads to not attract too many curiosity clickers instead of true action-oriented clickers (assuming you're going for some type of buy/try converison). If you're doing arbitrage, on the other hand, sometimes the curiosity clickers work out just fine. Takes a lot of optimizing and it's different for every site, landing page, ad.

 

So if I have image ad; is it true that it will pay less than a 'textlink' ad by teh same advertiser?

I mean do image ads only pay CPM; as opposed to per click?

 

I like those Image ads, mix them up well with the txt and you shouldn't have problems

image advertisement looks like an advertisement so you will get less click on image so using text advertimes is better than the other
