about 9 months ago I bought hosting and it came with a free domain, so i decided to register with them.

is there any way I can push my domain out of my host and to another registrar? preferrably namecheap?

    thanks!

I believe you can but it all depends on what the terms of the free domain name policy is. Is it registered in your name ?

First change it to your name and then try to transfer it out .

If you can change it to your name and your host allows you to transfer out then that should not be a problem.

If that is permitted, in your current host, unlock the domain name and then after that in Namecheap initiate the Transfer of the domain name. Pay the bill and let the system initiate itself. If it is a .com or .net domain name, you will need the EPP Code from your existing host.

You have to transfer them out, if you want to sell. Otherwise why not leave with the hosting co.

If bluehost is a reseller, you can open a direct account with your registrar.

No, if Bluehost is a domain name reseller, not hosting reseller, you can try getting a direct account. I had faced a similar problem long time back
