    Website content-----------------Ads Showing
    ----------------------------------------------------
Diecast Vehicles-----------------Door Alarms - Decorated Candles
    Metal detecting----------------- Kidkraft Kitchen Supplies
    Fishing--------------------------Buy stamps online

    etc
    etc

Framed pages are even worse. AdSense had code at least to place on framed webpages that made the targeting great, like there non framed pages. I say YPN still has horrible targeting, but it's better than it was, and they pay more than AdSense..... for me anyway :p P.S. And the ypn code has been on these sites for over 3 months. And there is no keywords etc related to any of the ads that show.

I have a Metal Detecting website and I get metal detecting ads but they are the same ads over & over again.
My forum has the same ads site wide. I need relavent ads acording to the thread or subject. Like in my Civil War forum rarely do I see Civil War ads.

My auction has Metal Detecting when it should have Coin related ads.
Seems I do get coin ads about every 4 days till they reset something then its back to metal detecting ads.

This is part of the reason why my revenue went way down. Some days I'm seeing $0.00 and I get over 1400 uniques a day.

YPN targeting still needs A LOT of work. Some of it may be due to insufficient ad inventory and part of it may be due to the technology behind deciphering your page to determine what it's about. I'm still waiting for Yahoo to improve.... been waiting for a whilie now. However, if you've got targeted ads in the right markets, the payoff is very lucrative. :)

Wow! Sounds pretty lame. No wonder the CTR is so horrid from what I've been hearing.

Maybe you can use the alarm to protect your die-cast car collection and of course, you'll need candles to view them if the power goes-out. Yeah... maybe that's what YPN is thinking ;)

After being frustrated with YPN targeting I decided to run some experiments. I designed a set of pages with title, header, links and text about specific keywords. YPN still mistargets the ads despite having the right ads in their inventory. I can see ads about blue widgets on my red gadget page and vise versa. My hat is off to those who mastered the secret of YPN targeting.

On top of it they no longer use “special beta rates” for my sites probably thinking that the targeting is OK and I no longer need additional incentive. As a result earning are very similar to AdSense.

It all depends on your site.
