I switched over to Yahoo on both http://www.directory-z.com and www.ericodom.com and so far so good. In fact on Directory-z.com I have made 25% more this month than last with Google Ads. How is everyone else doing?
Keep us posted.... I'm planning on opening up a Yahoo account in case I ever needed to switch over right away... Sounds good...
To give you an idea, one of my sites in Google had fluctuated with .50-1.00 CPC for certain terms, where as Yahoo gives 10 times that amount. Earnings are great with Yahoo for now, and closely coincide with the amounts the Overture bid tool shows.
Ok so far my average pay per click is far better. At the current rate of income per click I will be seeing a 30% increase for Directory-Z for the month of Septemeber. The only problem I have so far is that 40% of the time the ads are not displaying properly. On one of my new sites I have a 120 X 600 skyscraper and it has only displayed 1 or 2 ads at a time leaving all of the other space empty. Ive been watching them from different IP's for several days now and this has been ongoing. If they could get the ads to display properly I can see Y giving G a run for the money in the long term. And I agree with what was mentioned earlier, it is almost spot on for the Overture bid tools.
Have you tried ad targeting at all? I found that as soon as I applied that the ads were relevant (and not showing Florist/Vonage ads).
Well they are relevant. Im not having a problem with that. I am just not seeing them show up at all. On an ad that size there should be 4 or 5 ads. There have been only 2 for the past few days. I refresh will place all of them up but my visitors arent going to refresh just to see more ads.
This looks nice that Y! is paying good amount of money to publisher, yahoo has to give some incentive to increase its publisher base.
