.SO domains launched - Has anyone here purchased one?

.SO Domains were recently launched for Somalia. I wonder if anyone here on DP got their hands on the new domain name. Although not as great as the .ME extension, it certainly opens opportunities for certain new dictionary words ending in so among other ones!

I managed to get my hands on what I beleive are two very good domains but I don't want to mention them here at the moment.

I've seen that Godaddy are not selling .SO as yet...I got mine from the UK based web host Namesco. If you like you can buy one ore more for yourselves the domain through the link in my signature which takes you right there.

Seriously thats true..particularly in the last one year..the speed at which these new extensions are coming! Although country specific domains are fine, there really was no need for .co extension, when you already have .com

I agree... .co is no replacement for .com .... It's actually is the Colombian domain extension (country specific), but they are trying to keep that a secret. There is no need for it here in the United States or really anywhere except Colombia unless you are marketing a product for that country.

Haven't heard of this at all until now. Where are they available for purchase?

A lot of new extensions are being brought out lately, I suppose it's to accommodate all of the websites being put online over the past few years... Probably billions.
