I swear I was smartpriced for the last three days. Monday was the lowest earnings day I have had in 3 months ( all time ) and today is my 2nd highest earnings so far. My traffic has pretty much stayed steady so I just don't get it at all.
Welcome to adsense: earnings are not steady at all. Since clicks can earn anywhere (on my site) between a few cents and a few dollars, the daily revenue can also vary significantly. For my site the highest day this month was twice the lowest day. More visitors means that the extremes get averaged out a bit too. So for a website with less visitors the differences between the highest and lowest can easily be more than in my case.
yeah..... my visitors stay pretty much the same from day to day. But i'm sure it's not as many as your visitors This months High/low is about 8/1
Well, I don't think you can say youre smartpriced after one day of low earnings relative to your earnings from other days.
It happens to everyone. I use to get around 50 clicks on one of my blogs, since yesterday things changed drastically. Today I only managed 10 clicks.
How many clicks are we talking per day...because it can make a huge difference. As mentioned it averages out...but smart pricing still sucks, but I don't think that's what affecting you here.
is it against TOS to say how many clicks i'm getting? I am getting around that same amount of clicks, traffic and impressions but some days my earnings could be up to 8 times higher than my low days. sux
It is only once you are getting thousands of views per day that you should start to be concerned about massive jumps in clicks. When you have only 50 views or so per day , massive jumps will occur because statistically it only takes a few actions by a small number of individual visitors (or advertisers) to radically skew the results. Therefore until you have say 3000 views per day, just stop worrying about what seem like large fluctuations and expend your energies making more cool content. Trust me on this, people. All together OOMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
how could it be for only 3 days? nothing much changes in such a short time, plus why would you bounce back so soon? adsense is unpredictable.
High fluctuations are expected with low volume sites. Build content, build links, build traffic (sounds easier than it is, I know) - still: when one click more or less than the day before doesn't make a difference in your income anymore - then comparing daily stats will start to mean something (but still not much).
