I thought I was seeing things when I saw this Adsense Ad on DP Forums! (see attachement) But to whoever the mystery AdWords man is, the date is wrong!!
My bad, it's fixed. By the way, it's site targeted and limited to California and I don't see it when I surf DP. Adwords does have nice targeting.
nice tbarr! I hadn't actually thought of a productive way to use adsense geotargetting, but now my mind is flooded with ideas.
Targeting by geo or by site can be good. I use geo to target only a few cities for a local soccer club. I have tested several sites for several topics for site targeting and stick with ones that do well. I ran this campaign on this site for obvious reasons and limited it to California as to avoid 100,000's of impressions all over the world.
I live about 7 miles the Irvine Spectrum. Will have to pop in and check it out. Just look for the old geezer with the tan
that advertisement at the top of DP is awesome. hope it gets more people interested. can we get a list of people going? listed here so i know and can review theyre profiles. itll be easier so i can have some Q ready. thanks
Look at the top of the thread, the ad won't always be there due to rotation and maybe my budget. 6000 California impressions today, what better way to keep the message in front of the audience?
I saw that ad like one time last night, now it's comming up 99% of the time.. 5,000 of those impressions are probably from me..
Yea that add was tight of you to to put up. I see the details me and my webm@$ter brother and wife might come. Haven't decided will let you know when we do.
Let me know if you do decide as my original reservation number is just about met. The ad is working well, I set it up a few days ago and bumped up the price per impression until it finally started showing and than it showed like crazy...9600 today and still counting. I think I'll mix up the ad text because I am getting bored seeing it so much.
Here are the directions to Fox Sports Grill from their site: Irvine Spectrum 31 Fortune Drive Irvine, CA 92618 949-753-1369 FAX 949-753-0560 From 5 freeway South: exit Alton and go straight to Fortune Dr. From 5 freeway North: exit Alton, left at exit to Fortune Dr. From 405 South: exit Irvine Center Dr., left at exit. Right on Pacifica From 405 North: exit Irvine Center Dr and go straight to Pacifica. If you are coming from the IE, I'd either take the 91 West to 55 South to 5 South or take the 60 0r 10 West to 57 South to 5 South. At that time of day either route should be good. Aww man, I just found this thread and see it's scheduled for tomorrow. Hope you guys have fun -- maybe this will become a regular thing in the future? Great opportunity to share some knowledge...I'm in San Diego myself
From San Diego, a day is plenty of notice, it only take an hour to get up here and the drive is scenic. I expect things will go well and we'll end up making it a regular thing.
I'm sure this has been asked and answered, but I'm drawing a blank as to the location of the Fox Sports Grill. It's over by the movie theater and valet parking area right? Or is it on the other side? Do they even do valet at 3:00?!? I've only actually parked there by myself once and I ended up waaay in the boonies.
Hahaha...true, I'm a weak little man with no good excuse. I actually found this thread through Tearabite's sig link, haven't seen the adsense ad...such a shame, if I had made it today I could have gotten a free copy of his e-book without having to pay for it (but it was worth it -- good read for a newbie such as myself).
I think they have valet all the time. The valet guys park close, non-valet parking tends to be boonie-ish or lucky. Fox Sports Grill is at the north end of the complex , next to valet near the theatres. If you end up near Target, Nordstom and the ferris wheel you are at the wrong end of the complex. There is a map on the Spectrum site under directory.
