Took our dog out for her evening constitution. And an hour later, looked out and the ground is covered with snow! With more coming down hard. Been since last year we got snow here (not counting a few dustings here and there) Geesh...but I love the snow!
Its like 90 here today . And pollen everywhere. Allergies are terrible. At least the humidity hasn't set in yet.
To Iowa from just west of Houston, so I am back in snow country after way too many years in Texas. I am the Texan, wife is the Iowan. And I love the snow!!! Of course, being retired, I do not have to get up in the morning and go to work, shovel the driveway, the walkway, etc. Just sit with a cup of hot coffee and watch the snow. Predicting 3-5 inches this evening here. And I want it all!!!
Where the hell is spring? At least we did not get anymore snow on the first day of Spring. It was cold as hell though. Windy here too... I'm sure it will get warmer soon. Hang in there!
I don't want it to get warmer, I want it to stay cold and to have lots of snow coming down for the rest of the month.
Call me anything, but be sure to call me for supper. And ten thousand other mother things. Yeah, I move to Iowa, wanting a White Christmas. Do I get that? Heck no! Pray for Snow!
We had snow here in the UK about a week or so ago. It were as much as other places get in Canada and northern Europe though.
Consider yourself lucky... I hate it. It's nice to look at, and if it did it once a year, that would be enough for me.
I don't mind it but if Global warming keeps up like it is most likely and then things get much warmer, then we in the UK will probably get server winters. We will probably get snow apon snow as the sea will warm up and then cut of the gult stream which is where most of our wind comes from which is a mild direction. This is why we normally get so mild winters. But if that gets cut of then our winters will no longer be mild.
It probably will snow in Arizona today if that makes you midwesterns feel a little better about your conundrum.
Snow is fun until your old enough to have to drive YOURSELF around. We've been lucky this year though. Usually the ground is covered from Mid-December through February/March. But this year the grass has been green since X-mas.
