Some of you may have heard but the UK has taken a battering from the east as cold russian/scandivanian air blows snow onto us! The south has had biggest snowfall for 18years! Yesterday in glasgow we only got a fraction of what they got down south, but while it fell, it was amazing So heres a couple of photos for you to enjoy, and i hope to see some of your snowday photos too got a couple more but they are quite similar to those ones, never had time to venture far for decent shots
haha! im nearly 20 yet i was still out yesterday rolling around throwing snowballs with a few friends lol! its not gonna be here long so why not make the most of it haha! we built a hugee snowman! i've lived here all my life and this is the most i ever seen in the South East! i couldnt get to work all london underground was suspended!
What that looks like to compare where I live that is nothing. Thats the same in new york in the city they get a couple of inches and all hell breaks loose. Only a week and a half ago we had 14 inches in a day which to where i live in upstate new york thats nothing.
immense, i live just below london and recived about a foot of snow. it gets better, i went iceskating on the road at midnight when they froze
I'm not a great believer in global warming, well man made global warming anyway. The fact is, down south people just aint used to the snow so arent equipped to handle it. very few people in the uk actually have winter tyres which is a legal requirement in scandinavia. I'm 24, and i was out playing the snow! I'm pretty good at driving in snow(not amazing though), driving to feed the sheep is something you have to do, so you just have to learn how to handle the conditions! have you seen thursdays forecast?
when it was snowing it was only about -2C at its coldest, but this morning, its -7C! everything is ice, and the sun is shining so its rather nice!
hmmm...strange thing around here winter is almost like spring and this is not something usual. it should be very cold, windy with snow. the pics are great...they remind me of our last winters
