Yeah, politics matter. E.g., SoCal has some great spots like Santa Barbara which basically is sunny and warm year-round. But who in their right mind would move into a crazy blue state like that? Add in traffic, mudslides, wildfires, etc., and suddenly that picture is bleak. I considered the Pacific NW, but the politics and the unrelenting rain are its negatives, imo. Of course, you don't have to shovel rain.
Woke up this morning and the temperature was 5F/-15C degrees and this cold blast is expected to last through the weekend. Guess what will bring some slight relief late Monday night? A significant Nor'Easter that could dump anywhere from 6-18 inches/15-45 centimeters of snow on the ground. Everything is relative: now we are waiting for a big snowstorm to get us out of the vicious cold spell. Generally, the temps will pick up to around 32F/0C when the snow comes in. @qwikad.com do you have a spare bedroom?
Come anytime. Although believe it or not we've had 45F this a.m. It's going to warm up to 70 later today, but 45 is c-c-cold.
