I just read this news about snow falling in Baghdad. Some people are amazed and thought of it as a miracle. Scientists know better. When I was taking my masters in Chemical Engineering we discussed about global warming and this was already predicted. Climate change is an effect of global warming. Desserts will experience snow while the arctics would get melting ice. It's really scary! Sometimes it is best to know nothing about the facts.
Ya........ snowfall was here in my city too in Pakistan... Snowfall in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujarat... amaizing!
You also do realize that they are now finding stumps of trees in Anarctica where up until now we didn't know were actually there. Perhaps we have been in an ice age for quite sometime and slowly getting out of it? That is just one theory. Another theory is that the earth really isn't making any drastic changes. According to a cousin that is a meteorologist who has studied some about global warming, statistics were not taken from the exact same places. Some places in Russia were left out of the latest tests that were done (a naturally colder area) and therefore, we see a warmer average temperature on the earth as a whole. I'm not one to believe that global warming is a huge issue, we had one of the coolest summers in history last year in the midwest, we have also had less snow than normal and a warmer winter. But it is far from the first time we've had mild seasons. I think people are panicing over nothing really.
