It's against the rules of Wikipedia to add your own link to Wikipedia.

Plus the bots will delete them most likely.

I've been able to add links to Wiki a few times but it's definitely not easy. You have to have some really good content to get away with it.

Not easy to do this unless if your site is really, really relevant with the article that you are editing. Even links (not mine) that I've tried to include in relevant articles were deleted by others, although there were no valid reason to reject them.

What are you talking about? Sites that copy WikiPedia's content?

Wikipedia is no follow, but the traffic numbers are amazing if you do get a link added.

You could try smaller wikis instead. Not all of them are nofollow. If found a few for some of my keywords.

You can get good traffic and your link will stick around along as it's relevant and your site is non-spammy.

If you actually have good content and a respectable site then it works. If not wiki will delete you. I am not worried about the Wiki scrapers too much because the links do nothing for you traffic or SEO wise.

It's against the TOS of Wikipedia.

Why not build traffic and links honestly?

There's a thought... Instead of spamming Wikipedia. That's why Wikipedia has such a crap relevance in the Education industry because of people like you.

It is nearly impossible to get a link in Wikipedia directly, but try to do a search on Google for your niche "wiki". So if you are looking for golf wikis to get a link from search for something like golf "wiki". The quotes only brings up sites related to that.

It's simply not worth it. The amount of time and efforts needed for this can be better used simply by making good comments on high PR ranking blog in your niche.

And what about writing a really good article at Wikipedia, and that putting few relevant links on it? Will that pass?

Yeah like someone said it does you no good to spam wiki but if you wrote an article or a review that you feel is relevant and would add to the wiki then go ahead and put it on the page. If you try to spam the pages with your links then your IP and web address can be blocked from getting on wiki.
