Snap to Grid not working

    Snap to Grid not working, although it is enabled.
    View>Snap To>Grid
    Also View>Snap is enabled.
    Still, when I try to make rectangle for example, it totally ignores the grid.
    What am I missing?

    Perhaps a dumb answer, but is your grid visible? You cant snap to grid if you can't see the grid... ( Ctrl + ' turns it on and off...)
