SNAP Previews Really Great for Directories

SNAP Previews - has just been upgraded with more customization. It takes just two minutes to customize and sign-up - and just one line of hosted JavaScript to copy and paste.

It adds thumbnail previews to directories when hovering over links to make a site stand out and add a professional design touch.

It can also be used for Blogs or just as a navigational menu - Website enhancement

    BTW:
There are several also other hosted ones to consider if you do not like Snap.

Yes they look good but if you have a very slow ISP connection they will not load
and our connection is one of the slow ones

I got tired of my submitters asking me to disable it from my sites so I stink-canned the entire thing.

Agreed... I can always add thumbnails to most templates which provide better results with less issues from varios webmaster complaints.

I think they are worth the risk on "Keyword Tag Sites" as it gives an enhancement of preview before hand. ;)

    thx

I like snap thumbnail also. Now you can add different color to it. It's been great for my directories.

Can you share what you base this on? Is it from an owners perspective or have you seen an increase in visits, received user feedback?

As a user, I don't like snap previews and glad there's the option to disable them from all sites I visit.

umm.. well not particulary got a feedback on this, but I think this is one of the reasons more people buy links at my dirs. I saw a change after I started to use it. To me, I like the view of it. Otherwise, it can look pretty plain. Having the code on a web page itself doesn't affect my traffic of course nor rankings...

If loading is the problem, then I guess you shouldn't use it. I don't have many sites listed on a single page yet, so may be this is helping. (Max is 12 right now) Why problem with snap? besides the preference?

Not really a problem, just personal preference as a user. Ended up at snap's page instead of the page I was trying to visit.

It would be interesting if you can definitely attribute the increase in submissions to the addition of the previews.

iwebtool's thumbnail seems to be pretty quality too. I have seen some SEO sites with this tool.

I use them at www.searchtified.com since the thumbnails are small and I also use them at www.wwws.org which enhances users experience, i have no complaits on it whatsoever. I think they are nice. Iwebtool is nice too.
