Not much to say beyond the obvious lol. Currently built on a wordpress install. Forums created with phpbb.

    Traffic:
Light traffic with 45% google - 45% direct and the rest random. Currently only 300 or so uniques a month. Was getting hundreds of uniques a day (all orgainic) right before, during and after the release of the movie.

    Revenue:
Currenly only monetized with adsense and search. Well under a $1 a day as it is now. May do well with some kind of affiliate action/commission on sales of related merchandise.

    Use:
Besides a fan/cult fan site, not sure what else you could do with the site. Could do very well if/when there is a sequel and could probably do pretty well with commissions on merchandising if done right and the dvd commissions when it is released.

    Feel free to post/pm offer.
Not really an auction unless people make offer.
I will sell when I see an offer I like.
    No bin yet.

Well I think you've had the site in it's heyday ...

Love the domain, but traffic is likely to continue going down.

How much are you thinking you want for it?

Although traffic has dropped quite a bit since the movie came out, obviously, I have also not updated the content at all since July 13th. There is still a decent amount of return visitors and would probably be more if the site was updated at least some. Could be a solid cult community as I am sure even though it bombed for the most part, there will be longtime fanboys who talk about it for years. That would be multiplied if/when a sequel comes out and as mentioned, there may be some good commission opportunities if traffic is built up before the DVD comes out.

I suck at marketing and being lazy doesn't help either lol. The natural interest in the prelaunch site is obviously less but there are still a good amount of people looking for the site/content and if someone puts some effort in it could be built into a strong corny/cult movie community.

I don't know a price but lets say start at $50.
Reserve not set yet, BIN may be posted later.

Domain expires 10/7/06 so $7 would be deducted from the sale price to cover the cost of transfer/renewal (currently at godaddy)

"snakes on a boat: Attack of the boat rats - Where is a snake when you need one!" ??? lol

It didn't do crazy numbers in the box office but will turn a profit. A sequel would probably have built in audience/advertising to follow up the first ones reputation.

Not saying it will happen but there have been worse movie that didn't turn a profit and bombed in the boxoffice that later became cult classics and selling millions of dvds.

Yes, it lost most of it's wind with the release, and less than exciting box office but who knows what the future holds ;). Hollywood is stupid and desperate and movie goers are stupid and listen to what they are told lol.

Well I have been thinking of bidding, but if you have a reserve, I'd rather just know what it is and then decide.

Not real sure on a reserve. I have a couple people pm'ing who also seem to see the possible potential offering just over $100 so I guess the "reserve" could be something like $125. If I don't get any other offers/bids, I wil probably sell it to the top offer I already have ($125).

Yes, down quite a bit since the moving hype is way down now. Should pick up a bit some when the dvd comes out though.

Also keep in mind that traffic is almost all organic. Site could draw quite a bit more traffic if actually updated and actually promoted. It's getting hits, however little, from all the major search engines so it's indexed quite well.

    Thanks for the bid though!

    high bid: $125 through pm

it's a free push on godaddy but since it expires early next month I will be subtracting $7 from the winning bid if sold to cover renewal/transfer.

Best offer so far is $125

    Best offer now $130.

I may just keep it and try to optimize for a fan site (rather than blog) and try to get it ready to monetize the release of the dvd when it comes.

People always say they want something different than the same ol turnkey so here's your change lol. :p
