Will OptiGold talk to an SMTP server on a non-standard port?

When a mass mailing is invoked from a workstation attached to the server via a mapped drive...

Is the SMTP connection initiated from the workstation or the server?

So, "automatic" emails are initiated at the server?

By the time I get 100 customers in this thing, I'll be an expert.
I've got so much time invested here (good product), I'll have to buy it.
I guess that was the idea?

The forum has a wealth of information.
The documentation gets a 95 out of 100.

    Thanks for the help.

Automatic emails are initiated from whatever machine you have running automated tasks (it could be the server).
