SMTP server?

    My hosting is on cPanel and I've set up my email accounts for my new website.

    My hosting is reseller, it was originally set up on the domain www.hostsx.net but my new site is www.herphealth.com

    I've tried everything to get my SMTP server working in thunderbird and the windows email client but I just cant work it out.

    I've tried mail.hostsx.net, mail.herphealth.com, smtp.hostsx.net, smtp.herphealth.com, mail.herphealth.hostsx.net, smtp.herphealth.hostsx.net, herphealth.com/mail, hostsx.net/mail etc. etc.

    So does anyone know exactly what I should type in the SMTP server part of Thunderbird?

    I'm not getting any connection on port 25 for hostsx.net. Do you have the port blocked maybe by a firewall?

    My hosting says to use port 26, that doesn't work for me either.

    when you login to cpanel and then click "email accout" then click "Configure Mail Client"

    and cpanel will give you the setting inforamtion

    MX record for your domain points to a same ip address as A record and port 25 is open http://www.magic-net.nl/dns-lookup.php?fname=herphealth.com&Get+DNS+records=Get!
    You can use ip of your host 76.76.31.111 or any of records below as your smtp server:
    herphealth.com
    ftp.herphealth.com
    mail.herphealth.com
    www.herphealth.com
