Hi guys, I am wondering if any of you could recommend me a reliable and fair payment processor that offers SMS payment for adult content providers (i.e. a customer who wants to buy one of our digital adult media but who does not want to use a credit card (or does not have one) can then choose to use his mobile phone for billing instead.. he/she would send a phrase such as "TXT THIS" to a provided mobile number, get billed, and we get a certain percentage). Sorry for the long description, am not sure what the proper term is Thanks so much Mark P.S. a coverage in western Europe, North America (US+Canada) would be needed.. I guess for asian countries I would have to go for a second provider, right? Or is there "one does all" provider?
Have you searched for these SMS providers already? I think if you would just send them an e-mail and ask them, many might allow it -- as long as it's legal though.

@Aquarrez: I only searched google so far, but as there are many CC gateways that reject adult content, and those who do accept adult content often seems to be associated with illegal/unfair behaviour (see discussion board), I thought it is better to ask here for experience based advice. And yes, absolutely legal. Good idea to email them, I guess I will handpick 10-20 and then just see who accepts my business. @RuthB: thanks so much, that's a promising start. @Esolution: well, what I had in mind is the typical solution, i.e. 1) a user wants to buy and clicks on a button 2) a window pops up 3) the user pays 4) the sms gateway notifies me instantly 5) the user can download my content hope this clarifies it.. thanks

Probably because there aren't many competitors in that niche when it comes to mobile payments. And that's the consequence from the reason you give.
Hi all.. well, I am planning to ask for a fee anywhere between $2-$8 for some parts of what we offer.. I want to offer my customers as many payment options as possible.. SMS gateways show an excellent conversion rates (e.g. less risk issues for customers, fast to do, and not everyone has a CC)
Europe is quite good for SMS payments, forget about USA and Canada, its strictly forbidden there! Its all regarding adult content for sure. Google for references, there is a bunch of companies providing proper services, mx-telecom for instance. Good Luck
