Hi, I have heard through numerous PHP developers that you can send text messages through websites. Now a lot of them have been saying that you have to pay for them, blah blah blah blah blah. But one of them said you can send it like an email? Could someone provide an example of the logics of this? Regards, Ben
Also been wondering about this. Seems to be alot of Australia websites popping up offering free web to SMS messages. I have also been looking for a script for this, but still no luck
This is going to be very useful one. Some service providers give address like this where xxxxxxxxxx is the cell number. But all are not giving like this and they are not reliable also
Ya we can do that way.. also can broadcast from PHP script.. but have the backdoor access from the provider.. we can send premium or free message to the msisdn number.. not only Aussie.. all of the country around the world also can.
Exactly, you need to find a SMS gateway with good coverage for your target audience and good bulk SMS pricing for their packages (for example 1000 SMS for 10 USD). If you google for "sms gateway" or "bulk sms gateway" you'll get a better picture of how these systems work. They will provide you with a remote API, usually XML-based.
i can provide you with a sms gateway, sms cost Aus$0.10 each to anywhere in the world. API uses HTTP we also have email to sms if they prefer it that way.
Would you mind trying mine? I am unsure if it will work with Australian numbers. http://lemonbucket.com/textmessage.php
