Sms marketing

I was thinking about doing opt-ins with cell phone numbers. I need to research what the best SMS auto responder companies are. Any other ideas?

 

I am to agree with most of the replies that it counts on what your promoting and your target audience is going to be.

 

I haven't tried sms marketing yet but definitely will. I think this is a giant step into the future and in several years cellphone marketing will be huge.

Does anyone know of a provider that can capture both the email address and mobile number at point of entry and would allow pre-programmed follow ups (auto-responders) for about 7 days or more for both?

Haven't tried sms marketing, but got to say it's annoying.

This is my opinion, but I think you can get much more money with it, because 5 billion people are online on their cell phones.

 

Tremendously anoying, at least there is a spam folder for email, there has to be regulation coming soon to fix this problem

 

It's only annoying when people haven't given consent to receiving them. If they have opted in willingly, and you have a good offer, they can only be but delighted to hear/read from you.

If it doesn't do it for you, you just stick with whatever's working for you.

 

I received spam sms from banks in my country. Got to say it's annoying. Not to say they have big comissions I just hate.

 

Sms marketing is in its early days, currently a lot of mobile providers are charing a little too excessive, if only there some competition, then it would really pick up
