SMS Gateway with custom sender id

    Many of indians must be using 160by2.com to send free sms. Now sending custom sender id in sites is prohibited by TRAI, so how come sites likes way2sms or 160by2.com send custom sender id ?

    Any idea guys ?

    I remember reading on a blog recently.....TRAI hasnt prohibited usage of custom sender id but then it limited the number of characters in sender id...before it was 11 characters allowed in sender id now its 8 characters the remaining three are (XY-)senderid......XY denotes Airtel Andhra pradesh (incase you are sending to airtel andhra pradesh mobile)
