Just want to see people's opinions on advertising via text messages.

Each text message has 160 characters (in the UK anyway), now say if a friends sends a message to another friend and is given 110 characters, and the other 50 characters would be the advertisers message. Forexample the text message might say:

"Hey, How are you? I'm online on messenger now. Can you come on quickly so we can talk. bye x cathy!
Get an IPhone this Christmas at: www.APPLE.com"

Do you think that's a good method of advertising? Would you try it? How much would you pay for every message (50 characters)?

They dont really work. There were many websites that offered this kind of advertising during the last couple of years, but none of them survive. People will just send the free sms, and that's it.
