The Good: -Great looking creatives -Excellent dashboard and reporting The Bad: -Your earnings will come in slowmotion. I've run them for the last 6 days with ADSDAQ serving first, then Smowtion. Adsdaq was able to give me $45-$50 on each day with just 50% fill rate. So Smowtion got half of my impressions. Even with a supposed 80% revenue share, I've only been able to scrap between $1-$5 per day with these guys. (0.20 CPM) *EDIT* - I forgot to mention I used OpenX to serve these two networks to ONLY my US/Canada/UK visitors. So International traffic wasn't an issue here. Just so you know!
lol Thank you for your review. They think a slick site will attract publishers when the only thing publishers are after is money.
Thanks for the review. I've been waiting for somebody to post a real one for Smowtion. Allot of these new ad networks like to sneak popups or redirections in with their banner ads. Did you experience anything like that? Are they cpm or cpc? How reliable is their ad filtering?
No, I noticed nothing shady with the network. The support people are polite and easy to get answers from. They're CPM and their filters are effective, unlike ADSDAQ where if you specify do not serve Text Ads, they still do anyway.
They are ok so far. But the question is, do they pay? It seems like they are too new that nobody ever get paid from them yet
Thanks for sharing this! But did you get paid with smowtion? Their site and interface looks really cool. But who the heck cares about that?
I've dropped them a while ago. 1. CPM rate will goes down every month 2. They don't fill 100% 3. You cannot set default code for the ads They do pay though
well, for those who would like to use it with last tier: it is worth doing... for one month, my cpm was about 0.05-0.1, but now it is about 0.4 for last tier. It is worth to try.
smowtion is good but it pay low as compare to others try others like Adbrite, Chitika, Yeild Manager, RetrackMedia or Kontera
I was looking for information on this network which I saw being advertized by someone on Quora, and I looked on google and the first good information I've found is on DP. I oculd have used the search function on DP first. Thanks for the honest report, it's true that the quality of their site made me consider them, but I saw they are from south america, so now I know they pay too low despite the rates advertized on their site. I don't think their situation has changed much since one year.
I was fine with them. When last month on the eve of receiving payment, blocked my account. I tried to contact you via email and suport the site, the only response I got from the account manager was, asked what was the bill and would investigate. I'm waiting for response 15 days without recurrence. I know I did nothing wrong. They have a debt of 173 dollars with me. I do not expect to return. I'm like a fool.
For more than a month, I have been monitoring the performance of this brand new advertising provider, Smowtion. They have really good banners! Really colorful and big ones. As per what I have heard about smowton is that they were paying good initially, but nowadays their payments have become problematic. So its like "handle with care" situation. http://adsensealternativesblog.com/smowtion-review-smowtion-vs-adsense-ppc/
About a week before my payout wasa due from smotion, I get an email informing me that my account has been banned. This is incredible. I use several networks, including tribalfusion and a few other tier 1 networks. They claim I was in violation of TOS! They couldn't even explain the exact reason they banned my account. I had over $300 that I saved up in the account(my fault for building it up), then next thing I know, my account is banned. See the emails below. BEWARE OF THIS NETWORK! Here is the email I received: Hello, Your account had to be blocked because we `ve detected some activity against the TOS, you may find the reasons in the Best Practices for publishers: Regards Carolina Bianco Publisher Care Responsable Another email After asking about why my account was banned: Unfortunately we can not provide you the exact reason to prevent abuses on the system, but I can tell you that we registered an abnormal ratio of conversions, clicks and impressions that clearly shows a behavior on your account that hearts our platform. To protect our advertisers, and the rest of our publishers, your account has been deactivated. Thank you, Carolina Bianco Publisher Care Responsable Smowtion Co.
been using them for months lately and its a waste of time actually. my site receives about 5k uv/day yet no revenue.
