I am thinking about moving my forum on SMF1.1.4 to vB Suite.

I have a couple of questions but first some back ground.

434197 Posts in 34890 Topics by 17652 members.

I am a novice and hired my smf forum created.

If I move to vB if things go well can I get the new forum up in going in 24 hours?

That is for the whole thing, preparing testing and so on.

What kinds of things can go wrong?

    Thanks for any ideas.

you could make mistake during imports, user accounts missing, image links probs and there actually lots of issues one can screw up if he is not knowing what he is really doing, I would recommend you to go with vb install (of vb.com), the support they provide if you can afford for, its the safest, as u have a large db

its the same I have mentioned as "import"
a total newbie could screw a few tables up, if one has at least a minimum knowledge he can do that on his own, but if you refer to OP post, he said he got SMF installed from another person, so do u want to risk a big db ?
