    Yes, I use 1.1.3 and I have not had a problem with it being indexed.

    Yes, it's crawlable. Since SMF's themes are separated from the logic that powers the forum (the PHP and MySQL code), how easy you make it for search engines to identify the juicy and important bits of your page is entirely up to you.
