SMF SEO Tips ??

So all you webmasters running SMF forums can you please share with me your SEO tricks.

I couldn't get the SMFSEO mod to work with 1.10.

It'd be a great help if you can help me out with SEO for SMF.

Well there are lots of complains that it creates duplicate content issue for the SE.

 

don't they basically do the same thing? if so then problems may exist with both mods. smfseo is an old beta mod that was never developed past 1.0.7

i don't really know about the duplicate content issues as i haven't used either extensively.

 

For my Web Hosting Forum I use MyBB

You can then install the Google SEO Plugin

I know you have already started your forum using SMF but I find MyBB allot better. You can even copy your posts over from SMF using the Merge System.

Benn through that road man and it sux !!

 

There were loads of people having problems with MyBB and Hostgator but everyone is saying if you contact Hostgator on their live chat and explain the problem they will sort it.

Have you tried?

 

Now I haven't, I decided to give up on mybb. So I am on SMF and I don't repent it al all !
