What are the most popular mods out there? Most of the ones i install don't work but I use Welcome Topic Mod, Select Admin for Notifications, Display Age and Location next to posts.
why is it most of the mods you install don't work? are you using mods that are up to date with your version of SMF? if your using a custom theme, that theme needs to be edited for mods to work.
Yeah I'm using mods that are up to date with my version. I am using a custom theme, but even if i change back to default it still wont work. It's strange, some will and some won't. For example i try and install the ad management mod, no link is added to the admin CP and yeah, i have no idea what's wrong. Maybe i should reinstall forum?
maybe you should have someone familiar with SMF have a look. the ad management mod is a one click install and it works great on the default theme. with custom themes the files need to be edited, thats the way it is.
I know how you fix it. I had this problem a few days back when i converted my phpnuke site to smf. What you have to do is change the langauge file in the settings part of your admin to "english" and NOT "english-uth8" or whatever it is. Hope this helps.
