For a new website I'm working on I need three main things. None are particularly desperate, so you can take your time perfecting it if you take this up. I know these will probably be expensive, but money shouldn't be an object for what they are. If you have a price in mind, feel free to PM it to me. I don't mind different people taking on each part.

This project will be using SMF 2.0 Gold, so it'd need to be built onto that. I don't mind if these things are built directly into a clean SMF installation, or all done as modification packages.

Firstly is the game database. This will be used to manually build up a database of games, including vital information about them in an easy-to-view format. I enjoy both of these concepts designed for IMDB, so some design features from those would thoroughly impress me, especially the gallery from the latter. The main features of the game database are as follows:

    • Users with appropriate permissions can add a new game to the database, and also edit them.
    • Game pages displays various information, which can also be searched and filtered through (sidebar for some of the information instead of it all being in a main wrapper):
      • Game Title
      • Date of Release
      • Developers
      • Publishers
      • RRP
      • Links to purchase on Amazon/Play.com/etc.
      • mage of the game's box
      • Consoles the game is released on
      • Series the game is in (if any)
      • Description
      • Review (on a separate page/tab, with a place to insert ratings for graphics, gameplay, etc. and for users to be able to rate this too, changing the overall rating)
      • Walkthrough (on a separate page/tab)
      • Gallery on the game page that displays a selection of random images/videos submitted (see here for the design)
    • Each game added has its own forum board that doesn't show up on the main forum index. Instead, this can be accessed from the game's main page, and users can subscribe to multiple game's boards and see a mix of all subscribed boards' topics in a section. Posts in these section will count towards overall post count.
    • Users can say they own this game, which will be displayed on their profile and on the game's page.

Secondly, a slightly more complex one, levelling.

    • Instead of post-based membergroups, there are level-based memberships
    • As soon as a user earns X amount of points, they level up (amount of points for each level will differ)
    • Completing certain tasks lets users earn points, some of which also come with badges.
      • Unlocking an achievement/badge on a game on Xbox/Kongregate/etc (read on to find out how, this is the big bit).
      • Following us on social networking sites.
      • Referring others (SMFPacks Advanced Invitations).
      • Posting on the forums.
      • Logging in on holidays/the user's own birthday.
      • Being a registered member for so long.
      • Made an introduction (new thread in introductions board)
      • Unlocking X amount of other awards on the site.
      • Becoming a premium member.
      • Customizeable rewards only to be given out by members with appropriate permissions

Lastly we come to the most complicated part, people being able to link their gaming accounts to my SMF site. I'd like the user's following accounts to be able to be linked, all would have to be done using existing API's.

    • Xbox Live
    • PlayStation Network
    • Steam
    • XFire
    • Wii Online
    • Kongregate
    • iOS Game Center / OpenFeint

Unlocking an achievement/badge on a game on Xbox/Kongregate/etc would also give points for the user to level up, more points for harder achievements, etc. Whenever a user unlocks a new badge, it should show up on their profile, and it'd also be nice to have a feed of when a certain user unlocked what.
